Physician (Diagnostics Medical Director)

The Diagnostic Integrated Community of Care (ICC) Line Chief is responsible and accountable for the overall leadership, planning, operations, and performance of the ICC line. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversees Section Chiefs of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine (P&LM) and Imaging. Administrative activities such as peer review and other activities as required. Provides consultation services, comparative reports, and participating in clinical conferences/committees as requested by referring physicians. Participates in quality control/quality management (including department and hospital level peer reviews). Reviews IR consults including utilization management, ensuring appropriate pre- and post-procedural workups, and technical oversight for technologists. Participates in academic fulfillment missions such as the publishing of peer reviewed publications, case reports, and/or pursue grant submissions. Compliance with VHA and facility credentialing and privileging processes, including coordination with the Professional Standards Board. Ensure appropriate response to Congressional inquiries, compliance with standards of the VA Inspector General, The Join Commission, CARF (P&LM) and other survey bodies as well as VHA, Occupational Safety and Health Administration and safety and environment of care standards. United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. Qualifications:
Board Certified - Radiology, Pathology, or Nuclear Medicine Reference:
VA Regulations, specifically VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-2 Physician Qualification Standard. This can be found in the local Human Resources Office. Physical Requirements:
Heavy Lifting (up to 35 lbs); Moderate Carrying (15-35 lbs); Reaching Above Shoulder; Ability and dexterity of hand(s) to manage gross and fine motor tasks of patient care (i.e. IV insertion, wound care management, etc.); Walking Throughout Assigned Shift; Standing As Duties Require; Kneeling as Duties Require; Repeated Bending As Duties Require; Near Vision Correctable at 13 to 16 to Jaeger 1 to 4; Far Vision Correctable in One Eye To 20/50 and to 20/100 In the Other; Color Vision; Hearing (aid permitted); and Specific Hearing Requirements.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
