Medical Data Clerk

The incumbent must have a working knowledge of current computer technology and numerous VistA applications. Utilizes computer skills to generate and manipulate PC based software to carry out duties associated with transferring information and tracking information. The incumbent must have some knowledge of medical terminology and usage, covering the full range of general medical, surgical, pharmaceutical, hospital terms, medical abstracts and abbreviations. Knowledge of filing sequence of both administrative and medical records is necessary to properly identify information scanned into CPRS. The incumbent must be conscientious regarding the confidentiality of the variety of material that must be handled. The incumbent must have the keyboarding skills necessary to perform data entry responsibilities. Work Schedule:

You must have one (1) year of general experience with duties related to the position. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position, such as, validating and ensuring accuracy of log statistics, analysis of spreadsheets and recognizing inconsistencies and taking appropriate action to resolve them, using various spreadsheets, tabulating and converting information to create a variety of statistical reports. OR, Education:
Two (2) years of education above high school. (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED) OR, Combination:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
