EDUCATION
Graduate from a school of nursing programrequired. Baccalaureate or Masters in Nursingpreferred. Aminimumof a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing must be obtained within five years for those hired into an RN position on or after May 1, 2014.
EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of nursing standards, policies, procedures, and ethics. Previous experience in ICU, CCU, or PACU settings is preferred. Critical care experience/knowledge in regards to Hemodynamic monitoring and Basic EKG interpretation preferred. Surgical or Perioperative nursing is preferred. Pediatric experience is strongly preferred. Proficient in Peripheral Intravenous (IV) skills. Must possess strong critical thinking skills as well as decision making skills in caring for patients within the PACU.

Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesotarequired.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider cardrequiredprior to completion of unit orientation. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certificationsrequiredwithin 12 months of hire. National Certification in a Nursing Specialty ispreferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
