The Quality Assurance Analyst (QA) has the primary role to collaboratively work with leaders in our Business and IT areas to lead and document test strategies, plans, and test cases based upon project scope, requirements and impact assessments.
The QA analyst will partner with Business and IT teams throughout the project life cycle to make sure the goals, objectives and requirements are being met.
The QA analyst is fundamental in fostering a quality culture, in which all team members become actively engaged in guaranteeing quality in the finished products.
Education and
Experience:
A four year degree in business information systems, information technology, software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Three plus years' experience in the areas of business systems and software testing, including manual and automated.
Load testing experience is a plus.
Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices and defect management.
Familiar with techniques related to automating platforms and deployments.
Advanced analytical, conceptual, and creative problem-solving abilities.
Solid experience in generating standardized documentation.
Must be analytical with the ability to apply information and solve problems creatively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, listening and verbal).
Must be self-motivated and work independently.
Must be a team player, amenable to a variety of work projects.
Willing and able to travel occasionally, including overnight travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead test efforts for assigned work including creation of test strategies/plans/scripts in order to assess functionality, reliability, quality.
Execute, and oversee inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing product to confirm quality conformance to specifications and quality deliverables Test across various devices and OS levels.
Analyze and investigate defects and product issues or reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with testing strategy and/or best practices.
Lead efforts for quality and defect tracking, documenting, and reporting.
Monitor risk-management procedures, and maintain and analyze problem logs to identify and report recurring issues to management and product development Lead and facilitate test related meetings such as daily checkpoints, defect triage, change management etc.
Provide training and support to other team members as needed to support test plans.
Contribute to the creation/maintenance/adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP's) and control processes for the testing practices.
Participate in all aspects of solution delivery life cycle including analysis, estimation, design, coding, testing, production deployment, and support.
Keep abreast with industry technologies and tools in the software testing practices.
