The Charge RN is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of team-specific patients and staff at St.
Benedict's Community.
The Charge Nurse provides leadership of RNs and staff and through effective planning, communication, mentoring, teaching, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
In this role you will assign and delegate patient care according to staff members' skill levels, experience, and patient acuity through fiscal accountability while ensuring adequacy of resources.
You will share unit responsibility for leadership, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
You will serve as a communication link between department leadership and staff, actively problem solve, and provide accurate ongoing daily communication.
You will also complete all admissions and discharges.
Current Opening:
Part-time, 48 hours every two weeks, Monday-Friday, 7 a.
m.
to 7:
30 p.
m.
No weekends and no holidays!
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Minnesota required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required per established policy.
Experience which is appropriate to long term care is preferred.
Demonstrated skills of leadership, good verbal and written communication, clinical expertise, planning, organizing, directing, motivating and problem solving.
Effective assessment, reporting, documentation skills.
Ability to lead and supervise resident/patient care team and collaborate with other health care professionals.
Knowledge of nursing standards, policies, procedures and ethics.
Knowledge and skills to implement nursing theory.
Knowledge to adapt resources to meet the needs of the situation.
Demonstrated resourcefulness and critical judgment in emergency situations.
Professional and courteous customer service skills.
