Quick Apply Part-time 1 day ago Full Job Description Position Overview Provides shift coverage to maintain basic and moderate system operations and completes minor to moderate repairs to building/s and rooms affecting guest needs and services.
Inspects, maintains, and repairs all mechanical, electrical, and other equipment used by the guests or affecting the quality of their experience while visiting the property.
Identify Life/Safety equipment and report any issues or problems to the Chief Building Engineer and General Manager.
Job Duties:
Creates a safe and attractive environment for guests and associates by ensuring the hotel is maintained in accordance with safety standards.
Completes hotel room and building repairs such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, and painting.
Performs repairs on toilets, sinks, laundry facilities, kitchen and other hotel property Completes and plans for execution of routine and preventative maintenance.
Maintains safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the hotel, grounds, pool and exercise room.
Ensures hotel adheres to all regulatory and safety standards set by state/government and insurance inspectors and takes corrective action as needed.
Completes Work orders for lease areas as directed if applicable Maintenance and assists in cleanliness of mechanical equipment rooms and maintenance shop Knowledge of the alarm systems, RFID systems and Fire alarm system.
Other Duties:
Utilizes basic knowledge of mechanical repairs and home repairs, methods and common to date practices to complete daily assigned preventative maintenance.
Completes corrective work orders to guest rooms, public spaces and leased spaces Performs seasonal work to include ice and snow removal of parking lot, sidewalks and grounds parking lots.
Assist in irrigation start and shut down.
Responds to fire alarm system activation relaying information to responding emergency personnel and to other staff.
Takes appropriate action to resolve emergency situations safely and quickly.
Keeps Chief Building engineer and General Manager informed of any problems that develop on shift and corrective action/s being made.
Attend all required meetings Assist all departments in maintenance needs, ie Sales, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Sterling Catering,Green Mill and Brutgers Equities Complies with all safety standards and procedures of the hotel and OSHA standards.
Uses proper Lock out-Tag Out Safety procedures when maintaining any equipment Serve guest needs as they arise and as directed Specific Qualifications/ Physical Requirements CPR Certification preferred or to be obtained after employment Basic building and home repair/maintenance knowledge Ability to stand for long periods of time and up to entirety of shift Independent lifting of loads up to 100lbs and combined lifts in excess if 100lbs Read and write numbers and Basic English to record and interpret work orders and record keeping Able to handle stressful situations involving Life/Safety emergencies Job Type:
